About Us

As a show of its willingness to invest in the people of the DRC, Kamoa Copper S.A. has developed a facility of higher education, the Kamoa Centre of Excellence (KCE). The KCE is located between the Kamoa-Kakula operations and the town of Kolwezi, on the DRC Copperbelt. The KCE opened its doors to its first student intake in September 2023.

Application 2026 now open
The Kamoa Centre of Excellence (KCE) is proud to announce the offering of bursaries to a select group of talented and promising students. These bursaries will support enrolment in a specialized one-year curriculum program developed in collaboration with Enterprises University of Pretoria.

The program includes modules in English, mathematics, science, computer literacy, and an introduction to mining. Classes are scheduled to begin on 1 September 2026 and will be conducted in person at the KCE facilities. The bursary covers tuition fees, course materials, certification, access to a laptop, a monthly stipend of $150 (for 12 months), and bus transport between KCE and Kolwezi surroundings.

Please note that accommodation is not included. A total of 40 bursaries will be awarded to the top applicants through a rigorous selection process. The closing date for applications is 8 May 2026.
